Do I need to register? How do I get tickets?

Thanks to our generous sponsors, tickets are free for our families and community. All guests must register at the RSVP link so we can plan for your attendance. Families do NOT need to register their current students, only visitors.

Can we get involved to help or sponsor the event?

Thank you for asking! There are a few ways to get involved beyond attending:

Become a Volunteer! Our campus community thrives on the help of our volunteer network. Volunteers at Usdan welcome guests, give directions, assist with hospitality backstage in the Amphitheater, and more. We need volunteers on campus most days during the season, and especially on these Community Days. To join our Volunteer Ensemble, please email volunteers@udsan.org.
Become a Sponsor! Sponsorship opportunities are available through August for those that are interested. Contact Jessica Liss Feuer for more details, jliss@usdan.org.

I would like to make a donation. How can I do so?

Thank you for considering a donation! You can make a donation when you register for your ticket. Donations of any size are deeply appreciated. Thank U!

What is the itinerary for the day?

The entire event runs from 10am–3pm. Guests are welcome to come for some or stay for all.

Community Classes: Join our faculty for select Community Classes across a variety of our departments! Open to guests and families. Please note: Usdan students are encouraged to attend their 2nd period classes.

Does my child need a ticket to attend Community Days?

Current students and staff members do not need a ticket. All other visitors must be registered.

If your student does not wish to follow their normal class schedule, you must make sure they are signed out by a legal guardian and receive a colored wristband, indicating they are under your care.

What if I want to sign my child out for the day?

For Usdan students who are currently enrolled, we encourage they follow their normal schedule. If you wish to sign your student out early, there will be sign-out stations throughout campus. Any student who is signed out by an authorized guardian will be given a bracelet to wear. The bracelet indicates to Usdan staff that the child(ren) is/are under your supervision.

What to wear? What to bring?

Think: high heat + fun + festive + practical.
Expect to get your steps in – wear comfortable shoes.
Please bring your own lunch. Meals will not be provided. But we will have ice cream for everyone at the end of the day!
Prepare for the sun: Sunscreen, sunglasses, sunhats, water bottle, and insect repellant are strongly encouraged. The campus includes water misters and water bottle filling stations.

The pools will only be open for current students as part of their regularly scheduled swim time.

Is there a rain date?

Our Community Days will take place rain or shine. Please dress accordingly. In the event of inclement weather (thunder and lightning, etc.) please be prepared to follow Usdan's Safety Protocols, which could include sheltering in place. Following safety instructions given to you is crucial to ensure the safety of our community.

Are there shuttles to and from campus at local LIRR stations?

Yes! We are grateful to Suffolk Transportation and Huntington Coach Corporation for generously donating shuttles for these Community Days and supporting Usdan in this way.

Shuttle Schedule:

Shuttles from Wyandanch Station (7 Eleven) to Usdan: 9:35am, 10:35am, 11:35am

Shuttles from Usdan to Wyandanch Station: 10:45am, 11:45am, 1:45pm, 2:45pm, 3:45pm
