Usdan Writing Class Creates Kidsday Issue
This past summer, Usdan’s writing class worked with Newsday reporter Patrick Mullooly throughout the summer to create a full issue of the paper’s youth-written section, Kidsday. From interviewing singer Brynn Elliott and band Echosmith to drafting first person essays, sharing recipes and jokes, the participating students got a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
