With thoughtfulness, we welcomed our second group of parents and caregivers who visited as audience members for Wednesday's delightful performance by some of our Instrumental Ensemble Majors. Secruity Guards, Safety Monitors, and Dean and Health Office staff watched over us with care. We stayed cool and recharged by relaxing in the shade with friends, refilling our water bottles, practicing deep breathing on our yoga mats, and running through the misters around campus.

As they flowed off buses and stepped out of cars, the young artists of Usdan were greeted with care and enthusiasm by faculty and staff. With maps in hand and a pep in their step, students made their way to studios. Looking around camps, one thing was clear: Usdan was back.

Today, the act of running my fingers across the keyboard elicits a bittersweet feeling. For the foreseeable future, this musing will be the last. The time has come to turn our attention fully to the forest and to the expressive and creative children coming to inhabit it.
