Music
Johann is a soloist, orchestral, and studio musician based in New York City. He was a finalist in the 2022 American Single Reed Summit International Clarinet Competition and recently named winner of the 2025 Queer Urban Orchestra Concerto Competition. He has shared the stage with artists such as Aida Cuevas, Andrew Yee, and Loren Allred. He earned his Bachelor of Music from California State University Northridge, where he studied with Candis Carlson and Dr. Julia Heinen, and completed his Master of Music from New York University where he studied with Pascual Martinez-Forteza and studied bass clarinet with Pavel Vinnitsky. Johann is an avid hiker and loves a bowl of spaghetti.
