What's New With U? Week 8

With the final gong ring of the summer, Usdan's 2022 Summer Season took its final bow.

On the last day of camp, our students and staff gathered together in the McKinley Amphitheater to celebrate a summer we will carry with us throughout the year and beyond. We united to sing along with Junior Vocal Ensemble and Discovery students, dance to and clap for Soca and Hip Hop dancers, celebrate the diversity of our campus, honor the Usdan "Lifers" — campers who have been at Usdan 8 years or more and staff who have hit 10 years — and cheer as the 12th graders became Alumni. Together, we reflected on the privilege we have every summer to be surrounded by nature, creativity, and caring people.

This summer at Usdan, we saw a better future. Now, we will take that knowledge and try to make the world more just and more beautiful.

Instead of saying “see U next summer” we say “see U soon.” At our Re-U-nion Performance on September 18, we invite you to re-U-nite with your fellow Usdan community members and enjoy play performance from our Usdan Troupe. In addition to the play, the event will feature special performances by select Summer 2022 Music and Dance students. We hope you will join us.
