Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts is thrilled to announce the appointment of a new member of the Board of Trustees: Maura Charles. Charles joins the Board in advising and supporting programs, marketing initiatives, and scholarships.

“We are thrilled to have such an affable and passionate addition to our Board. Plus, as they say in theater, Maura is a triple threat, yet in this case a Usdan mom, Usdan alum, and a creative and inspiring thinker,” said Usdan Executive Director, Lauren Brandt Schloss.

“As an alumna of Usdan, I have great passion for the institution, its unparalleled programs, and the beautiful campus. And as someone who spent many years on my music education after Usdan, I understand how unique it is,” Charles said.

Charles’ professional career has been focused on digital technology strategy and execution. Her extensive experience in strategy, digital product, marketing, and content roles for beloved brands has given her the ability to lead digital transformation and innovation across industries. Charles has worked at notable brands including Allergan, Time Inc., Bloomingdales.com, and the New York Philharmonic.

Charles joins current Usdan Board members Russell Albanese, Lillian Z. Cohen (Treasurer), Richard Eisenberg, Roslyn Jaffe, Daniel Lisk, Michele Lowe (Secretary), Robert Nederlander, Jr., Lesley Friedman Rosenthal, Dr. Jerrold Ross (Trustee Emeritus), and John Usdan (President).
