Air Quality Update For Friday, June 30, 2023

Camp Sign

Usdan will be open and operating tomorrow, Friday, June 30.

After careful consideration, Usdan will remain open tomorrow, Friday, June 30. Please be aware that due to the design of our campus, we are not able to provide indoor shelter for the entire day. Parents and guardians should make the decision that is best for their family.

The Air Quality Index forecast for tomorrow on Long Island is 120PM. As per the New York State Health Advisory, when AQI is greater than 100 ('Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups'), New Yorkers in vulnerable groups should avoid exertion outdoors and watch for symptoms when exposed to the outdoors. Vulnerable individuals include those with cardiovascular disease (e.g., congestive heart failure, history of prior heart attack) or lung disease (e.g., asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), as well as children under 18.

As a reminder, on any day that your child will be absent:

·If your child takes the bus, please let your bus monitor know.

·If you drop off your child, there is no need to let us know.

You can call us at 631.643.7900 (phones open 7:30am-5:30pm) or email questions@usdan.org anytime.

Thank U.
