Rob Gallagher started at Usdan in 2015 as a lead teacher in the theater department. He had a 20 year career as a professional actor and singer in New York City, starring on Broadway as Javert in Les Miserables, and appearing as Emile DeBecque in the Tony Award winning revival of Roger’s and Hammerstein’s South Pacific. Off-Broadway credits include Fiorello! with City Center Encores!, Forbidden Broadway and Reefer Madness (with Kristen Bell and choreographed by Paula Abdul). He has been teaching singing technique for 15 years, both privately and at the university level. He’s been a member of the voice faculty at LIU Post since 2014, teaching singing lessons to their musical theater majors. Other educational experience includes Adjunct Professor of Applied Music at Five Towns College in Dix Hills NY, Adjunct Professor for beginning acting at Stonybrook University and Suffolk County Community College.
