Designed for experienced dancers looking to both deepen their current training and expand in new directions, Ballet/Hip Hop reflects the Usdan Dance Department’s mission to reflect contemporary performance practices. The course challenges dancers to develop a technical and expressive range by alternating daily between ballet and hip hop. The goal: to develop as creative movers ready for the broad range of choreographies seen on today’s professional stages. The class brings together students with different experiences in a collaborative learning environment where students can mentor one another and shine in their individual strengths. The class culminates with a performance showcasing the pieces students have been working on. A brief placement form will be sent after enrollment.
Please note: Dance classes will be run based on student selection. Some classes with low enrollment may not be offered, but each student will be placed in one of their selected classes.
