Joshua Z. Kant is delighted to be returning for a fourth summer as a musical director for the USDAN Theater department. He has dedicated himself to more than two decades of service in public education, directing choir, teaching general music and, of course, making theater in Suffolk County. Josh holds an MFA from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts' Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. He was in the inaugural class of the Dramatist Guild Fellows Program (2000-01). Evenings of Josh's work have been performed in multiple NYC venues. He began writing for the theater at Hofstra University, where he earned his B.S. in Music Composition. There, he also studied piano, voice, and conducting. As a book writer/composer/lyricist, his work includes Anna Sharpe Versus the Cyberbully, a piece for young performers which will receive its second full production right here at USDAN this summer!
