Chelsea Zak (she/her) is a New York-based music director, composer, orchestrator, musician and actor. She is a Usdan alum and "Lifer" having spent ten years as a camper (2006-16) studying musical theatre, choir, guitar, and creative writing. She also attended programs like Interlochen Arts Camp and Mannes Preparatory School, and is currently working toward B.A. in Music and Drama with a minor in Creative Writing at Vassar College (slated for 2023). Her most recent projects included playing "Mrs." and "Harriet Pawling” in Sunday in the Park with George, composing and music directing a klezmer-based dance piece entitled Troyern (choreographed by Nerissa Tunnessen ‘22), and music directing Ruthless!: the Musical. This summer, she is also a music production assistant for the new musicals From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and The Griswolds’ Broadway Vacation. When not performing or writing, she loves writing, reading, and traveling!
