This is Carl J Ferrara's 6th summer at Usdan. He started in the Theatre Department in 2003. As a Director and/or Music Director, he has done Theatrical work at Cultural Arts Playhouse, Broadhollow Theatre, Airport Playhouse, Kids 4 Kids, South Shore Theatre Experience, Underscore Cabaret, and Pride Performing Arts. He also created, and directed Drama Programs in the Amityville School District. He has been a music educator for 30 years, currently in the Amityville School District. He has been conductor of the Silver Chords, a community chorus based in Smithtown, since 2014. He is also the Music Director for Setauket United Methodist Church; and has served as Associate Music Director for L.I. Voices. He is also a songwriter and composer having written two musicals as well as several songs and choral works, some of which have been premiered by the Silver Chords. His newest is a collection of Canons, Rounds, and Partner Songs, available in 2024. He is a member of the local rock band Rock Island Sound.
